Endowment
The Brevard Music Center is grateful for the donors who make contributions to the endowment. Endowment gifts strengthen the long-term financial security that is required to ensure high quality educational programs and artistic performances year after year.
Endowment funds are invested and only the earnings from these investments are expended towards scholarships and other important initiatives. Each year a portion of these earnings are reinvested, ensuring that the fund retains its buying power over time.
Since an endowment's principal is never spent, a gift to our endowment is a permanent investment in the Brevard Music Center's enduring mission. The lasting legacy created by an endowment makes this form of giving particularly satisfying for donors who believe most deeply in perpetuating the BMC's record of developing artists, promoting the arts, and transforming lives.
Donors can establish a named endowment fund starting at $25,000. Contributions are tax-deductible and can be for general support or designated to a specific program. Immediate and long-term BMC needs include funds to support scholarships, faculty salaries, guest artist fees, and the maintenance of buildings and grounds. The Music Center will work with donors to find the area of support that is the best fit for their philanthropic wishes.
Donations to existing endowment funds can be made at any time and in any amount.
